Standard Rental Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: April 2026

By reserving and operating a vehicle from Quick Wheels Auto Rentals, the Renter agrees to the following legally binding terms:

1. Primary Insurance & Liability

In accordance with Michigan No-Fault insurance laws, the Renter explicitly agrees that their personal automobile insurance policy acts as the primary coverage for all collision, comprehensive, and liability claims during the rental period. The Renter must present valid, active insurance prior to vehicle release.

2. Vehicle Tracking & Telematics

The Renter acknowledges that all Quick Wheels vehicles are equipped with active, hardwired cellular telematics and GPS tracking devices. Quick Wheels reserves the right to monitor the vehicle's location, speed, and status for asset protection. Disabling or tampering with the telematics system is a violation of this agreement and will result in immediate vehicle recovery and local law enforcement involvement.

3. Reservation Hold Fee & No-Shows

To secure a vehicle reservation, Quick Wheels requires a $25.00 Reservation Hold Fee at the time of booking. This fee guarantees that the vehicle is pulled from the public lot and staged specifically for you.

• If you pick up the vehicle: The $25.00 fee is fully applied as a credit toward your total rental cost.
• If you are a No-Show: If you fail to pick up the vehicle within two (2) hours of your scheduled pickup time without prior communication, the reservation will be canceled, and the vehicle will be released back to the fleet. The $25.00 Reservation Hold Fee becomes strictly non-refundable to cover staging and lost operational time.

4. Security Deposits

In addition to the cost of the rental, a refundable security deposit is required at the time of checkout. The deposit amount varies based on the payment method used (Credit Card vs. Debit Card vs. Cash) and the results of our standard risk assessment. Security deposits are held to cover incidental damages, late returns, or moving violations. Deposits are released upon the safe, timely, and undamaged return of the vehicle, though your financial institution may take 3 to 7 business days to process the release.

5. Use of Vehicle

The vehicle must only be driven by the authorized Renter listed on the agreement. The vehicle may not be used for illegal purposes, off-roading, towing, or driven outside of the authorized geographical boundaries without written consent from Quick Wheels Management.

6. Late Returns & Extensions

Returns are due strictly at the date and time designated on your rental agreement. We provide a complimentary 59-minute grace period.

• 60+ Minutes Late: An automatic penalty equal to 50% of your daily rental rate will be applied.
• 3+ Hours Late: An automatic penalty equal to 100% of your daily rental rate will be applied.
• 24+ Hours Late (Theft): Any vehicle not returned within 24 hours of the due date without an authorized, paid extension will be considered stolen. Quick Wheels will immediately report the vehicle to local law enforcement and utilize GPS telematics to assist in recovery.

7. Tolls, Tickets & Violations

The Renter assumes full financial responsibility for all toll charges, parking tickets, impound fees, and traffic citations incurred during the rental period. Quick Wheels reserves the right to charge the card on file for these violations, plus a standard $30.00 Administrative Processing Fee per occurrence.

8. Condition & Returns

The Renter agrees to return the vehicle in the same condition it was received. A strict No Smoking policy is enforced. Evidence of smoking, pet hair, or excessive dirt will result in a mandatory detailing base fee of $50.00 and up to $250.00 charged to the card on file.
